Design a Product / Facility using Ergonomic Principles

 You will be assigned a subject according to your


grouping (as in your practical group) and the subjects are
as follows:
You are tasked to layout a new playground in your neighbourhood.
► For Team 1
You are tasked to layout an office to accommodate 5 designers.
► For Team 2
You are tasked to layout a school canteen to seat 100 people.
► For Team 3
You are tasked to layout a kitchen for a fast food restaurant.
► For Team 4
You are tasked to layout the car driver seat with the control & display
panel.
► For Team 5
Design a Product / Facility using Ergonomic Principles

In groups of 4-5, design a product / facility with much


considerations to Ergonomic Principles as possible. The subject of study
can be of any focus but it must include the following:

• Clearly apply the Ergonomics Principles to the design


• Be able to sketch out the design with major dimensions.
• Able to show that Anthropometric data are used in the design
• Follow the methodology of conducting a research
• Produce the design that can meet the objective.

Once completed, the group must submit a written report of


approximately 1000 words, It should also document down each group
responsibility and their contribution to the design.

The completed assignment must be handed-in by ww17, last day


1 August, Friday midnight.
