The Center of "JUAN":
is now traversing the mountainous terrain of Cordillera and
will exit along' the western coast of La Union-Ilocos Sur area
by 11 :00 PM today to 1 :00 AM tomorrow.

Cagayan

.:. Two (2) ladies were injured due to collapsed glass wall of Jollibee Store in Tanza, Tuguegarao City caused by strong wi.nds and heavy rains

.:. In Solana, Cagayan, two (2) DPWH crew while on conducting clearing operations, were injured as they were hit by the collapsed roof of the LTO office building

.:. The above mentioned four (4) victims were brought. to the Cagayan Valley Medical Center

.:. Sta. Ana: child hurt by a fallen live wire suffered minor wounds

.:. Benguet-Dalupirip Itogon and Nueva Vizcaya-Benguet Road - closed due to slides

Apayao

C. Summary of Affected Population

.:. A total of 974 families 14,614 persons in 30 barangays in 16 municipalities in the 6 provinces of Regions I, II, III and CAR were affected by Typhoon "Juan" (Tab A)

.:. Aileen Respicio, 20 ylo died at 2 PM today at her residence in Brgy. 8alabag, Rizal, Kalinga due to a fallen tree that hit her house. Her child was injured.

II. Regional Actions

Region I

.:. PDRRMC lIocos Norte prepositioned stocks of medicines, food stuffs and equipment in strategic areas of the province

.:. One (1) team from 580tll PAF was deployed in Pasuquin, lIocos Norte; one (1) team from 503fd PA in Laoag City, lIocos Norte; and two (2) teams from Philippine Fleet DRTU in Candon City, lIocos Sur

.:. PCG deployed teams from its Deployable Response Groups (DRGs) in San Fernando City and Bangar, La Union; and in San Roque, Sual; and in Lingayen of Pangasinan

.:. DOH-CHD1 prepositioned antibiotics, antipyretics, oresol, hyposol, etc. amounting to the PhP100,OOO in each provincial office

Regionll

.:. Two teams of PCG personnel consisting of 1 men per team were deployed from Manila to Sta. Ana and Aparri, Cagayan to assist in evacuation and rescue operations

.:. DPWH R02 deployed equipment and personnel to the critical road sections in the region

.:. PDRRMC Cagayan has established Advance Command Post and this is being manned RESCUE 29, PNP, Provincial General Services Office (PGSO), Provincial Engineers' Office (PEO) and PSWDO; BFP Cagayan conducted pre emptive evacuation of 144 families I 657 persons in two barangays namely Minanga and Caruan in Gonzaga; prepositioned 5,000 family food packs and

1,000 packs of used clothing; conducted pre emptive eva.cuationand mass feeding

.:. Concerned P/MIDRRMC in Isabel.a and Barangay Operations Center convened and pre positioned resources (equipment and 'rescue units) on a 24/7 basis; PSWDO prepared 2,504 family food pack; Ten (10) dump trucks were placed on standby for possible evacuation

.:. PDRRMC Quirino convened with Gov. Junie Cua presiding to discuss preparedness measures; coordinated with Quirino DPWH District and Provincial Engineering District to inspect infrastructure under their jurisidiction

.:. RESCUE 933 and other auxilia.ry rescue groups were placed on standby at Nueva Vizcaya PDRRMC Opcen; and deployed heavy equipment in strategic places prone to flooding and landslid~s

CAR

.:. OCO~CAR emergency telecommunications equipment prepositioned
