Description Concatenates the specified number of newline characters (i.e., carriage
returns) to the current line of an open file, or outputs them to the Interpreter. The
default is 1, that is, if you specify no number (e.g., Text_IO.New_Line;) a single newline
character is created.

Syntax

PROCEDURE Text_IO.New_Line
(file file_type,
n PLS_INTEGER := 1);

PROCEDURE Text_IO.New_Line
(n PLS_INTEGER := 1);

Parameters

file

A variable that specifies an open file.

n

An integer.
