2020" for California. Gary Frank Kelseyville
Isn't it interesting that the incumbent State Assemblyman, Wes Chesbro, has now asked for a six month delay for Marine Protection Zones to be implemented off of our North Coast, yet he voted for MPA's in 1999 as State Senator? So who does he think he's kidding? This tricky maneuvering is to delay MLPA implementation until after the November 2nd elections. The MLPA government farce currently costs the state $35 million a year and is anything but friendly to the environment or to our failing economy. The MLPA's allies are trying to kick fishermen off the ocean to clear the path for offshore oil drilling, wave energy projects, & corporate aquaculture. None of these activities are excluded from MPA zones, only fishermen are excluded. Chesbro also has consistently voted for legislation that would hurt small businesses, including (SB 789) the Union Card Check Bill, (AB32) the Greenhouse Gas Emission Fees Bill, and (ABX3 3) the largest State Tax Increase in state income tax, state sales tax, and vehicle license fees tax. Citizen candidate, Karen Brooks from Bayside, Arcata is also running for State Assembly. Brooks comes from a small business background and takes a common sense approach to government reform. She is a fresh voice for the people of Northern California. She understands business and jobs and is the kind of candidate our founders wanted in care of our nation and state. Brooks has my vote for the State Assembly. If you are curious to learn more about Brooks, I invite you to visit her Web site at: www.karenbrooks2010.com. Check out her "Vision Advertisement
