Grade 7 Internet Safety Project- Fall 2010 Create a short Public Service announcement- PSA, on Internet Safety using

either
Blabberize or Voki. You must include at least 3 aspects /examples of staying safe online. i.e. Don’t put personal information online, be sure that your digital footprint reflects well on you, be mindful of what you choose to put online, as it cannot be taken back… etc… You must give examples. You must use facts, not myths. If you choose Blabberize- Sign up for an account. Use your @mybcd.org address and password. Choose an image that you will be able to successfully manipulate the mouth on. Save the image. Write your script and record it using audacity. Then go to online, upload the photo, make the mouth – blue dots=shape of opening, green dots= how much the mouth will open- and upload your recording. You cannot save and later edit these. It is a one-shot deal, so make sure you have your recording ready and your picture downloaded to your computer before you begin. Blabbberize says it only takes 30 secondsas an mp3 or wav. It has taken longer audio in the past, so give a longer audio a test. To export audio from Audacity as an mp3, navigate to the lame.dll file on the desktop when prompted; it only does this once. If you choose Voki- Sign up for an account. Use your @mybcd.org address and password. Choose your character. There are many adjustments you can make- hair, nose, accessories, background, etc. Upload your audio- do not use the text to speech option. You can upload up to 90 seconds. To export audio from Audacity as an mp3, navigate to the lame.dll file on the desktop when prompted; it only does this once.

How to turn in your work You must copy the embed code and send it to me. We will be putting all of these on a wiki. Due Date: November 19th.
