Credit or Non-Credit Internship Hours: 10-15 hours per week Rate: $10 per hour As a part of our extremely busy and dynamic Office of Communications and Marketing you will be an integral part of our marketing efforts and will be responsible for assisting our communications manager and media managers. Primary Responsibilities: ‡ ‡ ‡ ‡ ‡ ‡ Continuously improve and implement a comprehensive social media marketing strategy and plan Research social media practices and make marketing recommendations Post, announce, and keep fresh all pertinent College info in various social media using sendible.com account and other SM outlets Tweet all of our press releases and stakeholder news stories Assists in various writing assignments for marketing materials Assist in social media outreach and monitoring

Attributes: ‡ excellent written and verbal communication skills ‡ proactive, self-directive and independent ‡ comfortable and confident when interacting with students, faculty and staff ‡ familiar with social networking tools, as well as DU and Daniels online channels ‡ able to manage multiple tasks and timelines simultaneously ‡ able to anticipate tasks Qualifications: ‡ Strong English writing skills required. ‡ Editing experience is a plus. ‡ Familiarity with social media channels required. ‡ Junior or Senior standing preferred; interest in Marketing and Communications. ‡ Previous marketing/communications experience a plus. ‡ Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects. ‡ Proficiency in Microsoft software and Internet fluency. ‡ Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under deadlines. ‡ Detail oriented and proficient at time management and multi-tasking skills. ‡ Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
