HSM 230 Week 1 Ethical Decision Reflection I have done many things in my life some good, others bad

. As a result I am not perfect. Actually perfection does not exist. There is however always the need to be better. For example I became a mother while not married this was not a good decision. On the other hand, I finally found a good man to be with, this is a good decision. Every decision point I come to I try my best to do the right thing. When making a decision I try to visualize the optimal outcome. Then I move forward with the decision, keeping the outcome emblazoned in my head. Even if the outcome is not optimal, as long as it improves my situation that is a good thing. I do know, however that I can’t alter the swirl of events that happen around me. I can however control my reaction to it. In that reaction I bring to bear all of my past experiences and I also try to visualize the optimal outcome of my decisions. When making optimal decisions I try to be considerate and empathetic. I also try to listen to other people when they are speaking to me. Other characteristics that I bring to the decision making table are, belief, honesty, care, kindness, assurance, self-reliance and respect for oneself. My children now have a father. This was the result of a good decision. My man and I got married and I had another child. Getting married first was a good decision and it follows the rules and tenets of the catholic faith.
