INTRODUCTION LETTER
Dear Goal-Setter, In your hands, you a hold a simple, easy-to-use tool that has the potential to have a significant impact on the level of productivity and accomplishment you will experience over the next 12 months. But before you get started with setting your goals for the upcoming year, I have one critical piece of advice to share with you in an effort to help you get the most out of this dybye! Goals Journal. BE CO NSIS TE NT. From day one, make a commitment to go through the five-step Designing Your Best Month Ever! Goal-Setting Workshop every month of this year. In spite of un-met goals and in spite of perceived “failure” decide today that, regardless of results, you will invest the time necessary to complete the workshop month in and month out. I share this with you because having consistently set goals in my own life over the past 5+ years, my biggest lesson has been this: C onsis ten t go al-s ettin g pr ec ed es c ons is tent g o al-ac hi ev ing. I have never met someone who consistently achieved goals who did not also consistently set goals. Conversely, I have never met someone who consistently set goals who did not also consistently achieve goals. Consistency is the key. With that said, over the next few pages you will find a description of the various areas of life that I suggest you consistently set goals in as well as instructions on how to go through the Designing Your Best Month Ever! Goal-Setting Workshop. It is my sincere prayer that this tool empowers you to truly have your best year ever, and if there is anything I can personally do to support you in your efforts, please do not hesitate to contact me! Sincerely, Edward Paz Founder/Executive Director dybye! Non-Profit Organization www.dybye.org edwardpaz@dybye.org | www.edwardpaz.com facebook.com/edwardpaz | twitter.com/edwardpaz

HOW TO USE THIS JOURNAL
In the days prior to the beginning of each month it is recommended that you invest at least 30-60 minutes working through each of the following five steps of the Designing Your Best Month Ever! Goal-Setting Workshop:

STEP ONE: 5 ACCOMPLISHMENTS
In this first step of the workshop, reflect upon and write down five accomplishments/blessings from the previous month that you are proud of and can be grateful for. By doing this, you will not only appreciate your progress and express gratitude, but you will also be encouraged to move forward and accomplish more!

STEP TWO: 4 GOALS
Next, write out four tasks, projects and other “things to do” that must be accomplished in the upcoming month. Be sure to attach the date that you will complete each goal by. These goals should be those things that you wouldn’t necessarily accomplish had you not written them down.

STEP THREE: 3 HABITS
After determining your four goals, choose and write down three habits that you will focus on developing during the month. Choose habits and disciplines that you are convinced must become a part of your life. Be sure to include the amount of times you will execute the habit written. Then, place an abbreviated form of the habit in the “Healthy Habit Scorecard” on the following page so that you can track your progress throughout the month.

STEP FOUR: 2 SACRIFICES
In step four, you will write out two sacrifices you will make during the month in order that nothing will stand in your way of your goals and habits being accomplished. Sacrifice those “things” in your life that tend to distract you from doing what you say you are going to do.

STEP FIVE: 1 COMMITMENT
The final step of the workshop is to write down the goal or habit (From steps two or three) that you will absolutely commit to seeing to completion. If anything is going to get done that month, it is going to be what you write down in this step!

Designing Your Best Month Ever!
Goal-Setting Workshop

Goal-setting is the most important aspect of all improvement and personal development plans. It is the key to all achievement and fulfillment. Confidence is important, determination is vital, certain personality traits help to contribute to success, but they all come into focus in goal-setting.
