Re: Richardson v. Dombrowski

Case No.: 96-D-217

Dear Judge Debenham,

Pursuant to our telephone conversation, wherein I informed you that I am unable to attend
the hearing on November 4,2008, please accept the following as my recommendations on the
issue ofRikki attending her Maternal Grandmother's funeral this coming weekend.

As you are aware, my client, Rikki and her mother, Claudine Dombrowski are currently
court ordered to have supervised visits every other weekend for two hours. These visits are
supervised by the Odyssey Group. Drex Flott is the managing therapist and Kira Haney is the
assigned visit supervisor. In preparing for this report I called Drex Flott to get his input. Drex
shared that he spoke with Kira Haney about the issue and that the father, Hal Richardson, had
volunteered to drive Rikki to the funeral, which is going to be in Barton County on Saturday,
drop her off, and then return to get her after the service. Kira stated that Rikki shared with her
this is what she wanted to occur. Claudine Dombrowski told Kira that she wanted Rikki to travel
to Barton County with her, unsupervised, for three days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Rikki told
her mother, in Kira's presence that she did not want to go to the funeral with her under those
terms and conditions. Kira shared that Claudine did not listen to Rikki but instead, once again,
only wanted to further her own agenda. This is a reoccurring theme that has permeated this case
since it's inception.
