Cyprus
The myth of the birth of the goddess of beauty, Aphrodite, emerging through the foam of the sea waves, can be compared to the geological birth of Cyprus, in that the island rose from the ocean. The nucleus of this phenomenal is the mountain range of Troodos, which is 92 million years old.

"PETRA TOU ROMIOU", BIRTHPLACE OF AFRODITE.

Troodos, Cyprus’s tallest mountain first rose from the sea and then the rest of the island followed.
