THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION, HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:

Article 1
Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European
Community, and in particular Articles 42 and 43
Regulation (EEC) No 1442/88 is amended as follows:

1. The title of the Regulation is replaced by the
following:
Having regard to the proposal from the Commission,
‘Council Regulation (EEC) No 1442/88 on the
granting, for the 1988/89 to 1998/99 wine years, of
