Download the Enhancement package files using the download manager.

Note that the user that is used to download the files is the same as the user which is used to confirm the files (refer above screenshot)

Copy the files to /usr/sap/trans.

Login as sidadm user. Uncar the files using SAPCAR.

Download SAPEHPI installer from

SAP support portal -> support packages -> Entry by application group -> additional Components ->Upgrade Tools -> SAP EHP Installer -> SAP EHP Installer 7.0

Choose the latest version

Preparing the File system:-

For EHP4 it is advisable to have a single file system for /oracle/SID instead of different file systems for the subdirectories. This is because EHPI uses the sapdata<n> directories extensively and it is difficult to determine which directory will be used

The total space in the /oracle/SID directory should be approximately 265GB

Create another file system for /EHPI directory with size 100GB

Extract the EHPI installer to the /EHPI directory

Creating the tablespace PSAPSR3701X

It is advisable to create this space before starting the Installation Login as orasid user Run Brtools Create table space with name PSAPSR3701X.* Login as user SIDADM on the server Navigate to /EHPI/EHPI Execute ..zip (Note: the JCE policy should be sun java policy) Open another terminal Login as SIDADM Set environment variables JAVA_HOME and DISPLAY Navigate to /EHPI/EHPI/sdt/exe Execute ...
