A Guide to Leaf Shapes Rhinestone Chain Necklace
This double-strand necklace features a mix of metal finishes and a bit of sparkle thanks to the Swarovski rhinestone chain. The two-strand end bars hold the chains apart from one another as you wear the necklace. Finished length: 21 - 23 inches.
Patina the brass locket by placing ammonia into airtight container. Cover with shredded paper. Place frame locket on shredded paper and sprinkle with salt. Seal container. Allow to patina for 15-30 minutes, shaking every 5 minutes and checking patina progress. Brass (yellow) portions of the locket will patina, the steel (gray) portions will not. When desired patina is achieved remove locket from container and wash thoroughly. Using your chain nose pliers securely fasten the rhinestone chain ends to the rhinestone chain by placing the chain into the chain end and pressing down the prongs on the chain end. With your chain nose pliers, use the 7 mm jump rings to attach the rhinestone chain and filed tube chain to the Blossom end bars. With your pliers open the loop on the spring clasp and attach it to one end bar. With your pliers open the end link on the knurled chain and attach it to the remaining end bar.
Use your chain nose pliers to open the remaining knurled chain link and thread it through the loop on the frame locket and around the rhinestone chain. Close securely.
