DESCRIPTIVE STUDY ON “ASSESSMENT OF QUALITY OF EDUCATION


DELIVERED THROUGH NON–SIMULATION ENVIRONMENT AND
BENCHMARKING WITH SIMULATIVE ENVIRONMENT IN INDIA

Purpose of the study:

This study is to assess the quality of education under non simulative environment and
benchmarking with simulative environment to assess the deviation in quality of
education.

Objectives:

1) To assess the quality of non simulative education system in medical college using the
standard tool.

2) To compare the quality of education by non simulative environment with simulative


environment to get the deviation in the quality of education (Gap Analysis)

Methodology:

It is Descriptive study. Assessing quality of education, probability stratified random


sampling is used. Assessing deviation of quality of education, benchmarking is used
under convenience sampling method.

Findings of the study:


The findings of the study revealed that the quality of education provided by Non
simulative environment does not match the international standards and the Gap analysis
indicates that a 37 % gap exists between Non – simulative and simulative institutional
quality of education.

Conclusion of the study:

Simulation based learning are playing major role in delivery of quality of education. It
should become mandatory for all the educational institutions to have simulation based
education system as it reduces medication errors and also improve the overall quality of
education and service.
