Hi Everyone: It’s time for the Big Show! This is the time of year that we all get busy, excited and crazy as we prepare for the best event of our club. If you haven’t signed up to work yet, or to donate food for the hospitality area, now is the time! This event is our biggest fundraiser for the year – what we make here keeps us going every year. We have some exciting things going on for the Show this year: a new Fluorescent Display (longwave only for this year) and new club shirts with our logo for Club members to wear. The dealers are all lined up and we have more display cases requested this year, including a case by the Junior’s Group. We hope to see EVERYONE there! On other fronts, we have several field trips being planned, Fossil collecting in Dayton/Cinci area with Tom Marok, Bancroft, Ontario with Joel Vicary, and another Indiana to Missouri trip with Jerri Heer. Keep an eye out for more details on those or contact the specific coordinator for more info. I am always proud to be a representative of this great organization. I will be heading to Peoria as our MWF Delegate. Each time I talk to other groups and compare what opportunities we have compared to many other clubs, I get more excited about the Toledo Gem & Rockhound Club. But we have to remember, this club is what WE make it! We all have the choice to be involved, share, contribute and teach each other. The opportunities are here – make the most of them! Respectfully submitted, Jerri Heer, President
