6-Terms of Delivery: F.O.R. Station of despatch basis i.e. Faridabad free delivery
within Municiapal limit of 30 Kms from our works which ever is
more duly packed. If the subject stores are booked on freight
prepaid basis through railway/road transport, the same have to be
reimbursed at the time of claiming 98% payment.
7-Excise Duty: Excise duty will be charged extra @ 16.48%.
8-Sales Tax: CST will be charged extra @ 3% against Form "C/D"
other wise itt be charged @ 4%.
9-Delivery Period: Normally the stores will be offered for inspection immediately as
indicated in the supply order. Supply will be made Rs. 45 Lac to
50 Lac per month will be supplied subject rate contract.

Other Information

PRICES-These rates are per 100 meter as per previous rate contract and FOR station of despatch basis / free delivery
within municipal limit or 30 kms form factory which ever is more duly packed.

The rates are based on SAIL's Ex-Plant price of steel skelp of thickness 2-2.5 mm for the entire range / sizes of pipes as
per SAIL's price circular No. FP-24 of 2006 dated 30-06-2006 @ 25500/- PMT excluding of ED, ST and other
statuory levies and are to variation as per P.V.Clause as stated above.
PRICE VARIATION FORMULA:-

1. Price variation on steel Skelp for the entire range / size of the pipes shall be regulated on the basis of SAIL's Ex-
Plant Price exclusive of ED, ST and other statutory levis. The variation shall be allowed on H.R.Skelp untested grade
and thickness on 2-2.5mm.

2. In the event of variation in SAIL's Ex-Plant prices of skelp on which the

rate of R/C are based, an adjustment in the contract price will be regulated
with reference to the date of tendering for inspection of stores and will be
applicable only to the stores tendered for inspection after 30 days from the
date of variation in the prices of steel.

3. Price variation will be applicable only on the finished weight as certified by the inspection officer by weighting
random sample periodically during the currency of the contract. No variation shall be allowed on the waste. The price
variation will be calculated on the basis of following formula:-

Where D1 = Outer Diameter in Cm.
D2 = Inner diameter in Cm. i.e. D1- ( T1 + T2)
Where T1 and T2 are the minimum and maximum wall thickness respectively.
L = Length of the conduit pipe in Cms (10,000 Cms)
D = Density of Mild Steel (Constant) i.e. 7.85 gm/cc
^ = 22/7
NOTE:- The above formula is based on taking average i.e. the mean wall thickness for the purpose of determining the
price variation, weight can be calculated accordingly.
4. Increase/decrease claims in the prices of pipes resulting from any change in the prices of steel shall be supported by a
copy of SAIL's notification. R/C holding firms shall submit price variation claims as and when changes takes place duly
supported by documentary evidence for consideration of the
purchasers.
5. The contractor is required to send his claim for price increase/decrease
within a perod not later than six months after completion supplies failing which no claims will be intertained. But this
time limit will however, not be
applicable in case of any decrease. The same will be claimed as and when it
comes to the notices of the Government.
NOTE:- The price thus revised on account of variation in rate of raw material
will be declared firm and final on firm's request supported by raw material and fall clause certificate duly certified by
Charted Accountant clearly indicating the period for which price finalization is required.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT

1. The R/C holding firm has to ensure the availability of following certificates from D.D.O.s alongwith supply order
placed against the R/C :
a) that they are Central Govt. Departments drawing funds from Consolidated Fund of India.
b) That the expenditure involved for the purchase has received the sanction of the competent financial authority.
c) That the funds are available under the proper head in the sanctioned budget allotment for the year ¿¿..and
d) They have been duly authorized by the Department to sign the Supply Order and incur the liability in respect of the
stores being ordered.
2. The supplies against this rate contract shall be only for the stores having ISI Mark.In no case the supplies against the
R/C shall be accepted after the expiry of the validity of the B.I.S. license unless so permitted by BIS. It shall be the
responsibility of the contractor to obtain/renewal of the license if expiring during the currency of the R/C and/or obtain
the permission of BIS that they are permitted to continue to supply the stores to ISI mark pending renewal.

3 Please note that DGS&D will not issue any essentiality certificate, recommendations etc. for raw-material and firms
will have to make their own arrangements. Deliveries offered shall not be linked to the receipt of raw-material in any way.

4. PACKING : The pipes shall be suitably packed in bundle for safe transit & handling, duly covered at both ends upto
300mm length with Hessian cloth. The number of pipes in a bundle shall be as under :

DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS:

1. FOR M.S.CONDUIT PIPES:-

Rigid Steel Conduits for Electrical Wiring threaded at both
ends `ISI`marked to IS 9537(Part 2):1981 with amdt. no.1 to 3 and as per detailed
specifications under General Technical Requirements.

2. FOR SCHEDULE FREIGHT CHARGES:-

Freight Charges for despatch per Km per unit basis, subject to condition specified
in terms for distance slab.

3. Rigid Steel Conduits shall be of M.S.welded construction.

4. The conduits shall be with medium protection against corrosion,stove enamelled

jet black both inside and outside with a coupler at one end conforming to
IS 2667:1988.

5. The conduits shall be in length of 3 to 5 metres.

6. The profile and dimension of screw threads shall be in accordance with

`appendix-B` of IS 9537(Part-2):1981 with amdt. 1 to 3.

7. The class of pipes shall be for medium mechanical stresses as per

IS 9537(Part-1):1980 with amdt.no. 1.

8. PACKING: The pipes shall be suitably packed in bundle for safe transit &
handling,duly covered at both ends upto 300 mm length with hessian cloth. The
no. of pipes in a bundle shall be as under :

enclosed with the hard copy of T.E. The suppliers down loading the tender
form from website shall obtain copies of these 'Forms' from website itself.
