I’ll kick this off by thanking the folks at BIGFOOT
GUNBELTS for making this review possible. Prior
to this point, I had not heard of this Post Falls,
ID company, so if you are in the same boat, let
me say that on their site you will find some of
the best made gun belts in the country. Why do
you need a gun belt, and are all gun belts
created equal. I’ll answer those two questions
in the paragraphs below.
A gun belt is like a boat anchor, a seemingly
insignificant accessory that you keep in a locker
but when you need it, it best work and work
well.

The gun belt provides the stability needed to
properly secure a holstered sidearm, drop leg
rig, knife, magazine pouches, tourniquet, etc.
It’s important that the belt provide the stability
necessary to secure your firearm close to your
body and stable so that your draws are
consistently flawless.
BIGFOOT’s Tactical Riggers belt is constructed
from 1.75” nylon webbing with Dual Core™
support. It features two strips of steel core
inserts. The belt construction sandwiches the
two spring steel bands to ensure this belt will
not sag period. I compared it to an assortment
of well-made tactical belts I’ve accumulated
over the years and absolutely nothing provided
the level of support and weapon stability that
BIGFOOT’s Tactical Riggers belt did; running or
walking.

cheap Chinese copies, this is the real deal and
the difference is unmistakable. Once you’ve
adjusted your belt there is no slippage and once
buckled you have a load capacity of 18 kN or
4,046 lbs. of force.

As with all riggers belts, BIGFOOT includes a

triangular steel D-ring that is tripled heavy-duty
stitched in. All manufacturers will tell you that
the D-ring is not for use in rappelling
applications and BIGFOOT does the same
suggesting that the D-ring is used for accessory
attachment. Having said that, I would not
hesitate attaching a carabiner with a piranha to
the BIGFOOT’s D-ring if I needed to do an
emergency rappel. The quality of construction
of this belt is superb.

I’ve been wearing the belt for a couple of

months now and it is yet to sag. It’s as
comfortable as it is durable and will fit your
jeans and tactical pants.
