EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING CYCLE (ELC)

What is experiential learning?

'Experiential learning' can apply to any kind of learning through experience. It is what you would
normally describe as “learning from experience”. It differs from the kind of education we get from
school where we try to read and understand and remember what we read and taught. Experiential
learning is essentially what happens during IW. We do not teach them anything, provide notes or lecture
participants. We just let them “do it”, and derive some lessons from that experience.

This model illustrates the most common and simple process in experiential learning.
