Verbal tennis

This is a game invented by Paul Ginnis and is a good warm up activity.

The pupils work in pairs facing each other and the first one starts the
game by saying a word associated with the topic given by the teacher.
A good one is names of elements.

After the first pupil has served the second one has to return without
hesitation. If there is hesitation the other pupil wins the point and
serves again.

Tennis scoring can be used or simply the first to reach 5 wins the
game.

Many science topics can be used as the context to this game.
