Personal Statement – thing that I don't really want to do

I. To develop the skills to become a character designer

II. To develop a more indepth understanding of how characters are developed using a practical
study

• Involved in Manga/Cosplay
• Read and look at various magazines and books

IV. I want to be a character developer based in the conceptualization and design of the model prior
to it being originated.

While I am working on developing further digital art skills and improving on working in programs like
photoshop and deviantART Muro I have a preference for working in traditional media such as pencils,
marker pens and the like. Recently I have started to work using a graphics tablet which suits my
working style better.

I am also working on improving my anatomy skills and will be life drawing soon to gain a better idea
of the human body.

I am heavily involved in the manga scene by cosplaying which has given me some further ideas on how
to develop characters by teaching me about how certain fabrics hang and how different fabric weights
affect how clothing hangs.
