Being a new student anywhere can be a daunting experience; unfamiliar surroundings, anew way of lfe and the need to adjust and settle. The UBS is here to help support all student members in as many walks of student life es possible, We pride ourselves on offering various services and facilities for you all to enjoy, from ‘successful sports clubs and societies to Locos or The Academy (our bar and nightclub). We also have an Advice and Representation Centre (ARC) which exists to meet your welfare needs, from visa issues to financial queries. We want you to have the most comfortable beginning to university life here at Brunel and Freshers week is a fantastic opportunity for you to feel at home whist also being in a piace where you can meet different people, make friends and enjoy all that UBS has to offer. Those of you returning may have already experienced the benefits of the Union, but to re-iterate, it is never too late to try something new and we urge you all to get involved in any way you wish. The Union's core function is representation of you, the students. This is not possible without the involvement and leadership of all students in directing where we go.
