The importance of a good breakfast

 Many make it a habit to eat too little or no


breakfast at all
Why bother with breakfast?

 Scientists conducted a study about the effects


of having breakfast and no breakfast or poor
breakfast
The results of a ten year study

 1. A good breakfast can help both adults be


less irritable,more efficient,and more energetic.
 2. More recent studies have linked healthy
breakfasts with less chronic disease,increased
longevity and better health
What is a good breakfast?

 Provides at least 1/3 of the days calories


 Calories should come from:
 Complex carbohydrates
 Rice-1 cup (Unpolished)
 Fruits-2 servings
 1 serving protein
Include food that has fibers

 Advantages:
 although fiber is not digested by the body,it
does absorb water as it moves through the
stomach and intestines
 It acts as a gentle barrier to the food particles
so that they are not absorbed quickly

 Follow the pyramid of good Diet


 Very less sugar salt,fats
 Less protein source
 More fruits & Vegetables
 More of complex carbohydrates

 Breakfast study is telling us
 That we need to jumpstart our day with right
fuel…right kind, not less,not more but enough
 It is very important that we may able to
physically function
We also need to have good spiritual
breakfast

 Man shall not live by bread alone


Why the Bible is the basis of
teachings/doctrines
 Message is not originated from human writers
but from divine sources
The Holy Spirit is the one communicated
through the prophets to the people

 2 Samuel 23:2- The Spirit of the Lord spoke by


me ,and His word was on my tongue
 Ezekiel 2:2;11:5- “the Spirit entered me ,the
Spirit of the Lord fell upon me,” the Spirit took
me up”
 Micah 3:8-I am full of power by the Spirit of the
Lord
 2 Timothy 3:16-’ All scripture is given by
inspiration of God.
 Inspiration is the process through God
communicates His eternal truth

 2Peter 1:20-21- Holy men of God were moved


by the Holy Spirit
 God inspired men-not words
Accuracy of the Bible

 In spite of attempts to destroy it, the message


of the Bible has been preserved with amazing
even with miraculous accuracy
We take the Bible as the basis of
our beliefs because…

 The Holy Scriptures,old and New testaments


are the written word of God given by divine
inspiration through holy men of God who spoke
and wrote as they were moved by the Holy
Spirit.
 It gives knowledge necessary for
salvation,standard of character, authority for
doctrines and trustworthy record of God’s acts
in history

How can we know God?

 Importance of knowing God:


 “And this is eternal life,that they may know
you,the only true God,and
God Jesus Christ whom
you sent.”
How do we come to know
personally God?
 1. Make a definite choice to know God
 2. Admit your need for such experience
 3. Have an intense desire for such experience
 4. Read the Bible devotionally,not just for information
 5. Establish meaningful communication with God through
prayer
 6. Meditate on God’s goodness
 7. Share with others the spiritual blessings

 Who is God the Father?
 Old testament description of God the father
 God is revealed in the old testament not in the basis of
how he looks but by the description of His character
 For no one can afford to see his face
 Ex.33:20- “there shall no man see me and live”
 Heb.12:29-For our God is a consuming fire…serve
God with reverence and Godly fear
Character of God the father

 God of Mercy- Ex. 34:6-7


 “and the Lord passed by before Him and
proclaimed,the Lord God merciful and
gracious,longsuffering and abundant in
goodness and truth.”
 God of refuge- Ps.46:1 “God is our refuge and
strength,a very present help in time of trouble.”
 Redeemer God. Ps.8:3-4
 God of Goodness- Ps.146:7-9

 We have a picture of God through the


revelation of the son Jesus
 Heb.1:1-2 God who at sundry times… has in
these last days spoken to us by the son

 Who is the Holy Spirit?


 Holy Spirit is a person not an impersonal force
 Personality:
 He strives (Gen6:3)
 He convicts-John 16:8
 He teaches-Luke12:12
Holy Spirit is
God

 Acts 5:3-4 Peter told Ananias that he was lying


to the Holy Spirit He had not lie to men but to
God
 Rom.8:2- He is life
His Mission

 Influence leads to obedience- 1Peter 1:2


 He is a comforter,counselor,helper John 14:16
 He assist in the mission of church
 He brings the presence of Christ
 He brings the truth of Christ
 He equips the church with special gifts
 1 Cor.12:11---The Holy Spirit is everywhere
and is willing to assist those who listen to the
still small voice. The gift of the Holy Spirit is
offered free free to each individual

 Gen 1:1-31 In the beginning God Created the


heaven and the earth… and saw everything
that he had made and behold it was very
good.”
 Everything came from the creative word of God

 Man kind is dependent upon God. Every
breath,every heartbeat every blink of our eyes
speaks of a loving creator
