municipality in Buskerud county,
Norway. The administrative centre
of the municipality is the city of
Drammen.
It is a suburb of Oslo .
The municipality of Drammen was
established on 1 January 1838).
Lindum AS (Lindum) was established in 1997 as a municipality-owned company.
In 2001 the company was converted to a limited company, 100 % owned by the
municipality of Drammen. Today, Lindum consists of Lindum AS, with its main base
in Drammen, and the subsidiary companies Lindum Kommunalservice AS
(recycling plant), Lindum Energi AS (power production), Lindum Oredalen AS at
Hurum (landfill), Bioressurs Østlandet AS in Fredrikstad (landfill), and Lindum
International AS at Son. The company has 56 employees.
Lindum has also activites focused on reaserch and development.
