Contraindicated to patients hypersensitive to drug. Contraindicated in those with anuria, acute or progressive reanal insufficiency, or hyperkalemia. To enhance absorption, give drug with meals. Protect drug from light. Monitor electrolyte levels, fluid intake and output, weight, and blood pressure.
