Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs)
After completing this course successfully, the student is expected to:

1. Learn the influence of the physico-chemical properties of a drug on its absorption,

distribution and elimination.
2. Understand the chemical basis of drug action and drug metabolism.
3. Know the basic principles of rational drug design.

Teaching & Learning Methods

1. Class lectures and lecture notes are designed to achieve the course objectives.
2. You should read the assigned chapters before class and participate in class and do
whatever it takes for you to grasp this material. Ask questions. Ask lots of questions.

4. Please communicate any concerns or issues as soon as practical either in class, by
phone or by Email.

follows: Multiple-choice and short essay questions.
• Grades will not be given out via e-mail
Makeup Exams • Makeup exam should not be given unless there is a valid
