INFORMATION (RFI). THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. Any information submitted by respondents to this notice is strictly voluntary. This Notice does not constitute a Request for Proposals (RFP) or an Invitation for Bids (IFB), nor does its issuance restrict the Government to any ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this notice, nor pay for any information that may be submitted by respondents to this Notice. This Notice is to request information from industry to assist The Peace Corps’ Office of the Chief Information Officer. Since 2003, the Peace Corps has utilized Satellite telephone service in remote locations where there is no landline or cellular coverage to support domestic and international operations. In addition to using Satellite mobile communication, the Peace Corps has, since 2006, utilized Cellular services to support domestic and international operations. Currently Peace Corps contracts on an annual basis Satellite Telephone Service, Satellite Airtime Service, Satellite Short Message Service, Satellite Equipment, and Accessories, Cellular Shared Minutes, Cellular Broadband Air Internet Access, Mobile to Mobile, Two Way Texting, Weekend and Nights Cellular Minutes, Blackberry Licenses, Blackberry WebConnect, Blackberry Email Add-on, add a line, International Roaming, and Equipment, Software, and Accessories. The purpose of this RFI is to identify a well qualified supplier(s) capable of providing market leading cellular and satellite products and services. The objective is to provide satellite and cellular phone services to Peace Corps’ overseas staff, volunteers and Peace Corps Domestic Staff. These phone services must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and the Satellite service must be available in remote locations where there is no land line or cellular coverage. The requirement is for the procurement and delivery of wireless cellular and satellite Voice, Two-Way Text Messaging, Voicemail, broadband data, email services to approximately 350 satellite phones and 300 wireless devices distributed globally at Peace Corps' overseas and domestic offices. The Contractor shall procure and deliver new hardware and support additional service requirements as needed. This requirement for wireless cellular and satellite service will be based primarily on the procurement of a plan which provides airtime for domestic and international dialing, unlimited cellular mobile minutes, unlimited cellular mobile to mobile minutes, unlimited cellular nights and weekends minutes, unlimited cellular wireless two-way text messaging, cellular broadband unlimited mobile airtime, cellular mobile web and data, roaming all and directory assistance, Satellite Telephone Airtime, and Satellite two-way text messaging. In addition to providing the primary wireless and satellite products and service the contractor shall provide a convenient secure web based portal for ordering, repairs, inventory management, and billing. The requirements cover incorporating and supporting the use of Palm Pilots and Blackberries in the Peace Corps’s IT environment.
