INT. FUNERAL WAITING AREA. DAY. MELANIE was very sad that her AUNT PAT passed away. She was the only writer in the family, so she was chosen to write the eulogy for her Aunts death. As she was getting in touch with her emotional side to get it all on paper she over heard the family creating drama. FADE INTO 1. INT. WAITING ROOM. DAY MELANIE staring at the blank white paper with pen in hand. NATALIE (MOTHER) (SHAKING HER HEAD) Just look at her. She is twice his age. She has some nerve bringing him here to the funeral. Who does she think she is?

KATHY (NATALIES SISTER) Oh, my... (She rolled her eyes) LEE SHE OBVUOSILY HAS NO REGARD FOR OUR SISTER PAT. THAT’S JUST A DISGRACE TO OUR FAMILY.

2 CLOSE UP Melanie looks up from her writing MELANIE (Annoyed) Honestly you are both acting like children. Who cares who my sister is sleeping with. We are all here because Aunt Pat died and all you heckling hens can do is create drama. LEE I am sorry Melanie but it’s a disgrace.

Lee then let out a FART. The smell filled the whole room of rotten eggs. MELANIE Ma! Are you serious? You should have gone to the rest room. Really Ma.

NICOLE You’re the writer you can come up with something good. Don’t forget to write about my future husband and his kids. CLOSE SHOT Melanie shook her head in sadness. How can Nicole not want to say something special about her mom? She continued to write.
