Spectacular Sausage Rolls

Preparation Time: 10 minutes Cooking Time: 20 - 30 minutes Makes approx 4 30cm rolls 1 egg 1/2 onion, finely chopped 225 grams sausage meat 200 grams puff pastry Mixed herbs / basil / oregano / garlic Flour to dust

Method
• • • • • • • • • • Preheat oven to 220 degrees C Roll out pastry to approx 30cm x 40cm. Cut into four equal rectangles of approx 30 x 15cm In a bowl, mix with your hands, the sausage meat, egg, onion and herbs Take ¼ of the mixture and form a long sausage on one side of the long edge of the rectangle. Brush the opposite side with egg Roll gently and form a good seal with the pastry edge. Pierce the top of the rolls with a fork or knife and brush with beaten egg Bake for 20 - 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove, cut and eat!!!!

Variations: Add cheese to the mixture Try with vegetables and or other ingredients you may enjoy
