Statement of purpose

Bo Bennett said, “A dream becomes a goal when action is taken towards its achievement.” My dream of becoming a global entrepreneur in the future can be realized if I take a step towards it. I believe that the first step is a management degree. In my view, the key to being a successful entrepreneur lies in having a sound knowledge of business fundamentals and a comprehensive understanding of the functioning of an organization. I hold B.Com (Hons) degree from Institute for excellence in higher education,Bhopal for commerce where I learnt some of the managerial skills and MBA course will certainly help me to polish them. Discipline, focused & optimistic approach, punctuality and adaptability have been my strengths since early days. I had been an active participant in co-curricular activities and was a rank holder in academics too. I have also played many leadership roles in school and college requiring high level of responsibility & accountability. The ideal of my life is Chanda Kochchar, her journey from management trainee to soon-tobe CEO inspires me a lot and I aspire to be like her. My short-term goal is to work in a corporate finance position, preferably at an emerging financial consultancy. Hence, I need an additional theoretical base and the opportunity to learn from others to make effective decisions across an entire organization, from finance to marketing to sales.

My long term goal is to head a business organization in 10years time. I believe that to achieve that goal, I require a professional degree in management which will hone my managerial skills and also develop the requisite qualities of being a manager and help me grow not only as an individual but also professionally.

A Masters in Business Administration (MBA) is definitely a recognised currency in the marketplace as it widens one's horizon in order to take account of all the major functions of businesses, as well as their interactions and practices. It provides sufficient knowledge to understand the various facets of an organisation so as to formulate successful strategies.

I am confident that my strengths, potentials and my strategic and analytical abilities would help me become an efficient manager. At ISME, one of the pioneer institutes with its esteemed faculty will provide the right pedestal for gaining a Masters Program in Management. It would help me interact with and learn from people of varied backgrounds.
