2 tbs oil
1 onion finely chopped
1 clove garlic finely chopped
2 carrots finely chopped
2 lbs ground beef
3 tbl chili powder
dash of cayenne pepper
6 drops Tabasco sauce
1 ½ tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
2 big cans crushed tomatoes
2 bay leaves
2 lb can red kidney beans

Heat oil
Fry onion, garlic, and carrots for 5 mins until soft
Stir in ground beef
Cook over low heat and drain fat
Transfer to crockpot
Add remaining ingredients except beans
Cover and cook on low temp for 8-9 hrs.
Add beans and continue to cook 1 hr.
Discard bay leaves before serving
