RESOLUTION

Be it resolved that the Bosnian Chamber of Commerce urgently support the efforts of
Representative Nasheed, Senator Keaveny and the other members of the City delegation
in their efforts to return control of the St Louis Police Department to the City of St.
Louis. St. Louis resident want Local Control of the police because we pay the cost of
operating the department, we live under the control of the Police and we want better
communications and closer relationships with our fine police officers. We call on all
members of the General Assembly to approve the legislation promptly. And we call on
Governor Nixon to recognize that St. Louis’ citizens have clearly spoken and ask the
Governor to provide leadership on this critical issue.
