The models of communication : 1.One way communication process: Linear model 2.Two way process 3.

Shannon Weaver model of communication 4.Murphy s model of Communication 5.Berlo s model of Communication 6.Thill and Bovee s Model

1.One way communication process: Linear model: In this linear communication a receiver passively receives the massager and acts desired by the sender. Communication is intended to control the receiver. Steps in One way process: 1.The sender select a message and encodes the message 2.Then he transmits it to the receiver through a medium be it oral verbal or nonverbal communication. 3.As soon as the message reaches the receiver , he decodes it and gives at internal resopnce at the message. This will completes the first face at communication process.

The linear Model 2.Two way process: In this receiver also acts as, the sender of the feed back to transmitter (sender). This treated the sender as the determiner of message .The process will be completed only after the sender receives feed back from the receiver. Steps in two way process: 1.Sender select a message and encodes the message

It was based on the mathematical and mechanistic view of communication process 3. As soon as the message reaches the receiver he will feed back 4.This will completes the communication process. Message ENcoding Idea Decoding of feedback sender Receiver Encoding of responce Decoding Internal Response Feed Back Two Way communication Model For the process of communication to be effective there should be well defined goal in the mind of he sender.2.Then he transmits it to the receiver through a medium be it oral verbal or non verbal 3. Shannon Weaver model of communication : This model based on the idea that communication occur only when the message has been received and that it should be received as per as possible. unchanged 1.Now the true original sender turned as a receiver. Shannon was attributed the loss to noise . Message received is not equal to the message sent. He receives the feed back and decodes it . The sender necessary needs to adhere to the following steps: >Create awareness in the receiver on the topic >Propose his point of view with clarity and preciseness >Enable smooth flow of discussion through observe of communication strategies >Correct ideas in the mind of the receiver concerning the goal of communication >Achieve the goal of communication 3. Shannan s model of communication was first published in the bell system technical journal 2.

2. Because the model conceived the communication process as a linear act and feed back another new act of communication. He encodes this idea and uses the sending mechanism. 3.Murphy s model of Communication: According to this the sender and the receiver send.In this model feed back was not considered to be an integral component. The receiver and the sender both pick the stimuli form this external environment. his words. voice. that is . the idea is transmitted to the receiver. The receiver receives the message through his receptor mechanism. Then he interprets the idea or understand the message 8.He perceives the message and decodes the same.On the basis of his understanding the receiver gives feedback to sender and the process continues. It s on the basis of his own mental filter. 5. 2. 4. 1. The message transmitted through a medium to the receiver. He formulates a message on the basis of this idea 3.The receiver then sends the feed back which is the final link to complete the communication process.Through physical transmission. 2. This message is transmitted through a channel 4. experience. The sender of the message perceives an idea. This message is encoded that is it is put in a particular form to be sent 3. 5.The message in then decoded that is put in a form understandable by the receiver. The receiver gets the message and understand it.The message originates form the source or the sender . 5. Source Encoder Channel Decoding Receiver 6. 6.Then the receiver gives feed back to the sender Which is sent through physical transmission Message Sender Physical Transmission Receiver Feedback THILL AND BOVEE S MODEL .Berlo s model of Communication: 1. attitude and skills.Thill and Bovee s Model : It emphasizes that the sender of the message gets the idea for the message from the world around him/her.4. 7. 5.
