So every technology is created through computerization. In this system you can sell your final goods & also buy the raw materials from the market. ´GARMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMµ gives true values to the user about their final goods which is the main objective of the system. The computerized inventory management systems meet such all requirements of proper storage of daily records & transaction. use of different software in various business sectors is been increased. In this global market. Usage of computerized system of daily ultimately it will reduce labor requirements & time consumption which would lead to develop economy. competition is increasing hence technology plays a vital role in development of respective core sector.GARMENT MANAGEMENT INTRODUCTION As it is a modern age life become a faster. there is increase in software companies. It is useful for proper maintenance of records & daily transactions are recorded. With respect to recent development in software in India & other countries. It also provides some different facility. Therefore to manage such entities there is need of core software systems which provides flexibility between their services to its customers. Software companies are those companies which provide services to its customer. GARMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM software may be used widely by various garment companies. Now modern age basically compared with computer age. Every human is being running toward its achieving goals. Project Report Page 7 . It is being used globally. In short period of time computer has won the hearts of people. Day by day.

It also provides reports with greater flexibility. Trend analysis i. graphical interface is displayed using OLE(Object Linking & Embedding Components). I used Microsoft Access as back tool. It provides us many tools which are useful for database oriented projects. Project Report Page 8 . Picture boxes & image control provides very useful facility for pictorial representation of data or information.0 because it is OBJECT ORIENTED LANGUAGE (OOP Language). easy graphical interface is provided. Using VB 6.0. Data Grids are used to add the information to the database as well as to update the information.e. It is more reliable & easy to store the information into the project database. It provides simplest access to database.GARMENT MANAGEMENT The reason I selected visual basic 6. Visual Basic is flexible to use & gives better visual representation. Its user friendly programming software.

The billing option is provided with the ´TAXµ calculations. The scope include stock keeping update along with making bills. So the showroom will not face the problem of certain material being out of stock. It saves the time of doing all the calculation. It can also be useful maxing of different colors to make a specific Material. Project Report Page 9 . The system releases the burden of keeping the manual records of the stock available in the warehouse. The record kept by the system is precise & the record is updated as real time. sales & purchase records of the different raw material required for production.GARMENT MANAGEMENT Scope of the system The ´garment management systemµ has diversified scope. With this information the company owner is aware about the remaining stock & he will know the recording time & reordering quantity of the certain required material. It is also useful to check the stock of the colored material. The system also generates the bill automatically which helps to calculate the bill amount automatically which will not lead to calculation mistakes which a human being can commit.

GARMENT MANAGEMENT OBJECTIVES The central objective of the project is designing & development of an application program which will help to the organization to buy raw material from the market and sell the finished good the market (different whole-seller.) This application is developed to make employees if the organization more convenient with the system os buying & selling raw material & finished goods respectively. Proper storage of daily record. To make the system friendlier with GUI based applications. Computerized auditing can be done. To provide better management reports & queries quickly at all level for effective decisions-making. Effective software system would be provided that would reduce the paper work considerably. The primary objectives of this project are as follows: To provide accurate & instant reporting by reducing requirements of the manpower. etc. Entering & updating new mention data through single point. shops. ultimately it will save time consumption. Technically skilled labor requirement will be reduced as the user would control everything. Project Report Page 10 . Efficient backup & storage facility for the data/details.

Feasibility study is the procedure to identify. Feasibility study is undertaken to determine either possible of improving the existing system or developing a new system. to discuss with higher authorities the improvement that are necessary. Preliminary investigation is an important part of the system analysis. This study is known as the FEASIBILITY STUDY. Technical & behavioral constraints. to locate problem in the exixting system. describe & evaluate processed system & select the vast possible action for the job in terms of economic. Definition:The preliminary investigation is carried out before the analysis in which the feasibility study is carried out. Before starting any system we have to determine whether the system is feasible or not. which will have to satisfy the proposed system. An important outcome of preliminary investigation is the determination that the system requested is feasible or not. It is necessary to examine the current procedure & information flow.GARMENT MANAGEMENT FEASIBILITY STUDY Introduction:Before developing any computerized system it is important to examine system to find the drawbacks & requirements. Types of Feasibility Study: Technical Feasibility Study Economical Feasibility Study Operational Feasibility Study Project Report Page 11 . to identify what resources are used.

Save time consumption. Password can be reset easily. Quick & faster access of stored data of customer whenever required by the user. Reduced time to search the record. Error free stock management system of raw material. If three times password is typed wrong then the login window will exit. Reduce extra employee cost. Ease the burden on the employees to update the stock report. System is very helpful to display all the records.GARMENT MANAGEMENT ADVANTAGES Automation of day to day work of ´GARMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMµ. Project Report Page 34 . No expertise required for handling the system. Usage of system would help in proper storage of daily record. Computerized auditing can be done. Real time updates of the database when any sale or purchase is made.

No separate database available for different products. The hardware requirements limit the use of hard disk drive (HDD) LESS THEN 20GB. Handling of an oracle requires an expert hand. Computerized system may lead to unemployment.GARMENT MANAGEMENT LIMITATIONS OF SYSTEM Employee must be trained to use computer system. The system is not web supported. Vast product data to be handled due course of time needs suitable data backup devices to be used. Project Report Page 35 . The application can·t work on operating system other than windows. There is no any facility to backup data in another storage location. When power of system is off improperly then unsaved data recovery is not available. because these limitations systems capabilities are not utilized in a wide range.

Online advertising of Company & Products. The enhancement can be noted as: Automatic reordering date signals Automatic reordering quantity recognitions.GARMENT MANAGEMENT FUTURE ENHANCEMENT There is a scope for the enhancements in the available system. By calculating the sale purchase ratio of the different products. Project Report Page 36 . Online availability of products. Online purchase of products.

The uniqe features like automatically database update & stock display proved helpful in the daily work of the stock There are some limitations like delicate database connectivity. It can be used for online advertising.GARMENT MANAGEMENT CONCLUSION The system works efficiently in the present situation. Project Report Page 37 . The system can be enhanced in the near future by making it online ordering/selling/payments. but for small reasons the system proves to be efficient.
