NEEDS & OPERTUNITY
Technology is made for Good & Easy Life for the human being. Every one is talking about new technology of different sectors. Information Technology, Third & Forth Generation Data Transfer & Communication, Power Sector, Real Estate & Infra Structure Development are Basic Technological Sector of Today’s Generation. Here we are discussing About Power Sector & Environment. Global Worming is major Problem of Whole World. Energy Demand of Whole World including INDIA is increasing Day by Day. For Meeting that Energy Demand Every Country is expanding their Power Plant Capacity & They are Also Installing New Power Plants as it is required. The Growth of energy sector is higher then Population Growth in country likes INDIA & CHINA. Reason behind that Per Person Energy Consumption is increasing. Energy Generation is directly affected to the Environment. Here it’s a small Concept is presented in this paper To Save Environment & Energy Conversation: “GREEN BUILDING CONCEPT”. This Concept will be a small step toward for Eco-Friendly Atmosphere & Energy Conservation. Before Emphasizing more on this Topic we would like to define a word “Sustainability”. “Meeting the Needs of People Today Without Destroying the Resources that will be needed By Person in the future; Based on the long Range Planning & the recognition of the finite nature of natural resources.” I. INTRODUCTION The term “Green” refers to environmentally friendly practices from building design to the landscaping choices. It also Optimist & Economic energy use, water use, and storm water and west water reuse. The terms “Green Building” apply not just to products, but to construction strategies, building design and orientation, landscaping, building operations, maintenance, And more. The less impact a building has on human health and the environment, the more green it is. In Short Green building is a design and construction practice that promotes the economic health and well-being of your Family, the community and the environment. A smart step toward personal economic rewards, Green Building has positive social and environmental ramifications that assert your commitment to the future and the way we live for years to come.
According to study conducted by Energy Information Administration (EIA), USDoE, there is a visible trend across the globe region. The growth rate in total energy consumption has been greater than the population growth rate. In India, population growth rate is expected to grow at 1.3% while the energy consumption rate is expected to grow at 4.3%. This trend is indicating that energy sector is very large to extant. In Real Estate sector Building sector being a major energy consumer to a large extent to address this issue. The general awareness on Green Buildings in India is scare and scattered. There is tremendous potential for construction of Green Building in India. The main Objective & Needs to concentrate for green building is that, Green Building has a potential to save 30%-40% energy with reduction of operating cost & good health III. GREEN BUILDING RATING
There have been buildings which adopt one or more green features. To recognize the extent of green features that a building adopts, rating system have been evolved and come of age in US and Europe. The prime objective of the rating system is to bring change in the market wherein the user demands green products. One of the most popular rating systems being adopted in the US is the LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environment Design) System of USGBC. LEED Rating for… • New Construction & Major renovation. • Existing Building • Commercial interior • Core & shell • Homes • Neighborhood development Work Objects Sustainable Sites Water Efficiency Energy & Atmosphere Material & Resources Indoor Environment Quality Innovation & Upgrades Possible Points 14 5 23 16 22 5

GREEN BUILDING BENEFITS • • • • • • •
30% to 40% reduction in operating cost. Health and safety of building occupants. Incorporate latest techniques and technologies. The most tangible benefit is in reduction of operating energy and water costs right from day one during the entire life cycle of the building. V. GREEN BUILDING FEATURES
Minimal disturbance to landscapes and site condition Use of Recycled and Environmental Friendly Building Materials. Use of Non-Toxic and recycled/recyclable Materials. Efficient use of Water and Water Recycling Use of Renewable Energy Indoor Air Quality for Human Safety and Comfort Effective Controls and Building Management Systems
VIII. RATING SYSTEM IN INDIA LEED-INDIA provides building owners, architects, consultants, developers, facility managers and project managers the tools they need to design, construct and operate green buildings. LEED-INDIA promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in the following five key areas: Sustainable site development, Water savings, energy efficiency, Materials selection and Indoor environmental quality Green Building Have Many Advantages & Features. Some important Fractures are indicating below. • Energy efficient equipment for air conditioning and lighting systems. • Use of onsite renewable energy. • Measurement and verification plan to ensure energy & Water savings. • Reduction of building footprints to minimize the impact on environment. • Installation of high efficiency irrigation methods and selection of vegetation which have low water consumption. • Controls and building management systems. • Recycling of construction debris to other sites. • Use of building materials having a high recycled content. • Use of rapidly renewable materials. • Declaration of site as “Non-smoking” area or have designated area of smoking. • Providing daylight and views for the occupied areas. VI. GREEN BUILDING IN INDIA
IX. GREEN BUILDING ATTRACT AS. Operational Savings: Buildings consume at least 40-50 % less energy and 20-30 % less water vis-à-vis a conventional building. Daylights & Views: Working in environment with access to daylight and views provides connection to the exterior environment. Air Quality: Green buildings are always fresh and healthy. The green buildings use interior materials with low volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions.
X. REALITIES Perception #: Green buildings are costlier The cost could be slightly higher than a conventional building. But, this needs to be seen with a different view. An ideal building has life cycle of average 40 years and all the costs are to be considered which are initial constructions, operating, maintenance etc. A Sample calculation for normal building and green building has been evaluated as below
Green Building Movement and facilitate in India emerging as one of the world leaders in green buildings by 2010. DEFINED AS PER IGBC "A green building uses less energy, water and natural resources, creates less waste and is healthier for the people living inside compared to a standard building”.

Life Cycle Cost Comparison for 40 years life span, 4000 ft2 area building @ 1400 Rs/Sqft. Total Expected benefits over life cycle of the building: Rs 104 Lacs. Yearly Benefits: Rs 2.6 Lacs.
XI. CONCLUSION: The green building movement & technology is here to stay for the benefit of individuals, society and the country at large. It’s a step to optimum use of relevant energy sources. REFERENCES
