Introduction
• Earlier preparation for TRX addition is highly
needed to avoid congestion.

• Therefore it is needed to identify future Capacity

requirement well in advance (Before cell gets
congested) so that we will have time to act.

• Identification of excess TRX is also very

important since TRX will consume power leading
to unwanted OPEX.
• For TRX calculations below parameters are

• If the TRX addition for the cell is identified on

above threshold, it will be possible to add TRX
before it get congested.
TRX Guide Line – Conclusion

• It has to be noted that need of a new capacity

site should be identified if cell BH carried traffic
exceeds,
– For GSM : 33.42 E
– For DCS : 55.13 E

• If these threshold are reached it can be concluded that

congestion can not be eliminated by TRX addition.
