What you need: 4 lbs of beef rump roast (boneless) 3 stalks of celery (chopped into pieces of 1 inch) 1/2 cup of flour 1 whole red pepper or green pepper (chopped into small pieces) 1 (1-14 ounce) can of tomato sauce 3 carrots of medium size (peeled and quartered) 1 teaspoon of instant beef bouillon powder 8 whole potatoes 1/2 cup of water 1 oven cooking bag, large size (14 inch by 20 inch) 2 onions of medium size (peeled and quartered) 1. Pre heat the roaster oven to a temperature of about 350 degrees F. 2. Shake the half cup of flour into the bag. Take a 9 inch by 13 inch baking pan and place the bag on it. 3. Roll down the top of the bag and add water, tomato sauce, the bouillon powder, and salt and pepper as per taste. 4. Squeeze the bag gently to mix the contents, while being careful that the oven bag does not get ruptured from any side. Add the rump roast inside the oven bag and put the chopped onions, carrots, potatoes, celery and the red or green pepper. Gently turn the bag so that the vegetables and the roast get coated with sauce. 5. Tie the bag properly to close and make about six slits of half inch each at the top of the bag. Insert an electronic thermometer set at 140 degree F (if you have one) through any one of the slits into the roast. 6. Bake in the pre heated roaster oven until the thermometer signals done or for about for 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let it cool for approx twenty minutes. Untie or cut the strings on the bag and serve on plate. Roaster oven can be used to make a number of delectable dishes and roasts. Take a look at the best roaster ovens today.
