Oven Barbeque Ribs

The dish takes about 2 hours to prepare, but every minute spent in making it is worth it. The recipe makes enough for 6 servings and you can be rest assured that your friends and family will enjoy it.

What you need: 1/2 tablespoon of hot pepper sauce 1/4 teaspoon of salt 2 cloves of garlic, pressed 1 tablespoon of salt 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce 1 cup of ketchup 1 tablespoon of butter 1 tablespoon of white vinegar 1/2 lemon, cut into rounds 1 1/2 cups of water 1 (12 ounce) bottle or can of beer 3 tablespoons of molasses 2 (8 ounce) cans of tomatoes (diced and with juice) 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil 1 cup of onions (thinly sliced) 5 pounds of pork spareribs 1 tablespoon of prepared mustard 1. Take a large stock pot and pour the water and beer into it. Mix in the salt and stir till it dissolves. Boil the mixture over medium to high heat. 2. Take a large frying pan or skillet and at high heat, heat the vegetable oil in it. Sear the ribs on both the sides, and then place them on paper towels to drain out the excess oil. Then place the ribs in the stock pot containing the water and beer mixture. If required, add more water so that the ribs are covered. Cover the pot and let simmer for two hours. 3. In the meanwhile, take a saucepan and melt butter in it. Then sauté onions and the garlic in it till the onions become translucent in color. Add in ketchup, tomatoes, hot pepper sauce, molasses, vinegar, Worcestershire, salt and mustard and stir. Stir continuously while bringing to a slow boil. Decrease the heat to low, and let simmer till the ribs are done. 4. Drain the ribs and place them on a shallow pan for roasting. Pour the sauce evenly on the ribs, and place the slices of lemon on top of the ribs. 5. Cover the pan with a foil and put in the 350 degrees Fahrenheit pre heated roaster oven for approx 15 minutes.
