Overnight Oven French Toast

Try this easy recipe for a scrumptious breakfast or brunch. With its delectable praline topping, it is definitely going to be a hit with the whole family. It takes one hour to make and makes enough for 10 servings.

What you need: 1 (8 ounce) loaf of a French bread, cut into slices of one inch 1 1/2 cups of half-and-half 6 large eggs 1 teaspoon of vanilla 1/8 teaspoon of cinnamon (can add little more if desired) 1 cup of milk 1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg Topping: 1/2 cup of butter, softened or melted 2 tablespoons of corn syrup 1 cup of light brown sugar 1 cup of chopped pecans 1. Take a large rectangular casserole dish and butter it. Take the cut one inch slices of the French bread and fill them in the buttered casserole dish. The buttered dish should be completely covered with the bread slices. 2. Take a bowl and mix the six large eggs, one cup of milk, one and a half cups of half and half, one teaspoon of vanilla, a little nutmeg and cinnamon. Mix the contents properly. Pour this prepared mixture on top of the bread slices placed in the casserole dish. Cover and refrigerate for the night. Next Day: 3. Pre heat the roaster oven to a temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit. 4. Spread the topping (recipe below) on top of the bread slices evenly. 5. Bake in the pre heated roaster oven for approx 40 minutes. The bake should have turned golden in color and should be puffed up. 6. Remove from the oven and let the toast cool for 5 minutes before serving. Topping: Take a bowl and mix in the half cup of softened butter, the brown sugar, and the corm syrup.
