“The Story” | April 22/23/24 2011 The Main Thing   The resurrection is the pivotal point in human history When

the resurrection first happened, Jesus’ followers did not understand its full significance

Discussion Points     What did Easter mean to you growing up? What does it mean to you now? Why is it important to look at what the resurrection meant to the first century witnesses? Is Jesus’ resurrection something we compartmentalize? Or is it something that actually affects how we live our lives; how we treat our spouses & children, our employers & coworkers, our neighbors & our enemies? How does it change the way you interact with others? What do you think of when you hear the phrase “dead in sins?” Jesus’ first followers realized that the resurrection was more than just forgiving people of sin; it was a restoration of humanity and all of creation. How do we carry that realization forward in our lives? How do we live that out?
