What is Neurofeedback/
Biofeedback
•  Neurofeedback is a computerized software
program that gives information to a person telling
them what their brain is doing. It teaches the
person to change their brain wave pattern thus
helping them to improve symptoms they may be
experiencing. We call this self-regulation. The
person is rewarded every time his/her brain
reaches a balanced brain wave pattern.
Neurofeedback is also called EEG Biofeedback.
•  In Biofeedback we provide information back to the
individual so they know what their muscles are
doing. When we do Neurofeedback the brain is
provided information back to the person.
How does Neurofeedback
work?
•  Sensors placed on your scalp help us evaluate
your brain wave patterns.
•  This information helps to determine which
brain patterns may be contributing to your
discomfort or diagnosis.
•  You will then Train these brainwave
patterns – making positive changes to the
underlying cause of problems you re
experiencing, eventually reducing the
frequency and/or severity of symptoms.
What conditions has
Neurofeedback been clinically
proven to help?

•  Seizures and sub-clinical seizure activity

•  Severely disruptive behavior disorders such
as Conduct Disorder and Bipolar Disorder.
•  Autistic spectrum and pervasive
developmental delay.
•  Acquired brain injury

Is Neurofeedback right for
me and my family?
• Our youngest trainee is 3 years old and
our oldest individual in training is 90
years old. Everyone is welcome and can
benefit.
• In schools we train Peak Performance
for children of all ages.
What can I expect while Training?

• Sessions usually last for 30 minutes.

• In the beginning we recommend 2-3
sessions per week.
• As you begin to see improvement, most
people train once a week.
How many sessions will I need?

• Each person will respond to treatment

differently, but most people feel better
after only a few sessions. Depending on
your needs, you could expect to come
for at least 20 to 40 sessions, but many
people stay with training to address
different needs for many more.
