Shopping list

o360g whole meal flour

Walnut bread
o100 g white flour
Time 2h 40min. : preparation 30
min; leavening 1h 30; baking 40 o20 g yeast

Serves: 8 o280 g milk

1. In a bowl mix the flour, sugar and salt o8 ml salt

o50 g butter
2. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
o15 ml brown sugar
3. Dissolve the yeast in warm milk. Pour over
flour and mix with the melted butter in o200 g walnuts
the flour.

4. Stir everything together and knead for 8-
10 minutes to get elastic non sticky "
dough. Let rise for 30 minutes. NOTES

5. On a lightly floured surface roll the dough

and sprinkle over with walnuts.

6. Roll the dough like a roll pad and let it rise

for 30 minutes.

7. From the dough roll: either a log and join

the end to make a ring, or (for the easy
version) two balls.

8. Leave on the baking sheet to rise for 30


9. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees.

10. Bake for 35-40 minutes. Cool on a wire

rack before serving.
TIP: In this recipe you can replace the sugar
with 10 ml of honey and 130 ml of the milk with red dry wine.
