Themes • The main theme of Animal Farm is the Socialist ideas of the Soviet Union • Napoleon becomes the self-declared leader of the Animal Farm and begins to introduce socialist ideas. corrupting the system • Orwell also uses the abuse of power in Socialist Society . • The pigs start to become the ‘ruling class’ just like in Soviet Society with the ruling class • Leaders started changing rules and using them for their own gain.
