I’m a sixty year old bloke who has had a

It looks like crap but works perfectly.
My sons bought me a Weber Q for

I’ve used it nearly every day since
Christmas. About the only thing I

haven’t bought the plate yet.
Haven’t had a failure - the bloody

“Why we all believe
better valu
Better Quality.
Let’s face it, Weber’s reputation for quality is legendary. Other barbe-
cues can fall apart or just rust away to the point of being an embar-
rassment. It’s all because of manufacturing shortcuts. A favourite
shortcut is to supply you with all of the nuts, bolts and parts, and get
you to do the manufacturing at home. The more ‘nuts, bolts and
screws’ you use the more wobbly your barbecue will become over
time and the more places it will rust. Weber is quite different. They
don't believe in taking shortcuts. A
Weber gas barbecue is made using only
the finest materials, manufacturing
methods and workmanship. Most of the
assembly is done where it should be; in
the factory. Even the burner system is
pre-tested. When you get it home there
is surprisingly little for you to do.
Wait until you cook the first mouthwatering barbecue
meal. We know from other people that it’s only then
that you can appreciate what that famous Weber badge
really stands for.

‘Nuts and bolts’ are a typical manufacturer’s shortcut and no

Better Economy.
Apart from Weber, we can't think of any barbecue manufacturer
that gives a damn about gas wastage. In fact, completely the
opposite seems to be true. Companies try to impress by 'brag-
ging' about the high BTU output from their gas barbecues.
They'd like us all to believe that the higher the BTU output the
better the barbecue. What they don't say is that a high BTU
output usually means unbelievable 'gas-wastage', meaning your

Better Cooking System.
Weber invents amazing cooking systems. That’s what they do, and that’s why they are the world
leader in creating superb barbecue food. In our experience, other gas barbecues commonly have
the following problems: cold spots due to uneven heat distribution, fat fires and flare-ups that
incinerate food, no real roasting capability for those special occasions, and inefficient burner sys-
tems that result in a terrible waste of gas.
The current Weber gas burner system was pioneered in 1986 (even in those days it
had real stainless steel burners). But we believe it’s been Weber's passion for
improvement, over more than 20 years, that has seen it evolve into the
most sophisticated outdoor cooking system in the world.
As a result you can now have superb grilling and roasting capability,
control over flare-ups and fat fires, with minimal gas-wastage, all in
one gas barbecue.

‘Superb grilling with control over flare-ups ‘Roasting capability for those
and fat fires’. special occasions’.

Better Cleaning System.

Let's face it, removing accumulated fat and grease from barbecues can be a dreadfully
unpleasant task. Yet, even with the most expensive gas barbecues, you'll find manufacturers
that give very little thought to fat disposal. Often you'll find a monster fat-tray with sand or
'fat-soaker' to catch the fat (how anyone manages to empty them, we just don't know). Take a
look at the pictures and you can see how easy it is to remove barbecue drippings from a
Weber gas barbecue. Quite frankly,
it makes other cleaning systems look
like a joke.
Footnote: We think it's outrageous that some
manufacturers void their warranty on damage
caused if these accumulated fats ever catch
fire. Our advice is, always ask to see the war-
ranty (written not verbal) and check to see
what events will void it before making any

purchase.

We always knew that Weber gas barbecues were efficient and less expensive to run, but
until we looked into it we had no idea how good they really are. A 4 burner ‘lemon’ (with
72,000 BTU output) for example, uses nearly 50% more gas and costs around $2.27 per meal
to run. On the other hand, the 4 burner Weber Summit (with 48,800 BTU output) costs $1.54
a meal. That’s a big difference. The saving you get with Weber's latest gas barbecue (the
leading-edge Q 300, right) is even more astonishing, with the cost coming down to 70c per
meal. Take the Weber Q and baby Q and the cost drops even further, to 40c and 30c a meal Family Q.
respectively. It’s not until you look at the numbers* like we did that you realise most of the Weber’s forward thinking has produced
