Join us for another update on the life of the Prince family serving as missionaries in Cape Town, South Africa

May 2011 Check-in With Ubuntu
We have played 4 league matches with Fish Hoek Football Club. We are 1-2-1 so far. Not quite getting the results we hope for. We are beginning to see players grow into great maturity. They are taking responsibility and leadership. We have gotten nice support from our local businesses that have donated fruit & vegetables to our players along with nutritional supplements. Training began this week on the next wave of school coaches that should be on the field by the end of May!

Loving Life
The Prince family is loving life here in South Africa! Life is full of so many blessings – we don’t even know how to take it all in! The month of April ended with a big change and trauma as Ntokozo asked to leave our home and care. It was time for us all as she just completely shut down and rebelled against all our boundaries and us. We still have a relationship with her and see her weekly when she and her cousin Minky spend Friday nights with us. Continue to pray for that relationship! As that chapter has closed, our hearts are full with the abundance and richness of our ministry and life right now. We have so many opportunities to minister and continue to grow more a part of the Ocean View township community. Progress is evident in the Ubuntu boys and the Ocean View women continue to deepen and grow. Kieren is doing GREAT and enjoys each day of life with friends! We are thankful and full of joy!

Celebrating our Miracle
One year ago this week (May 17th) our precious Kieren received 1st & 2nd degree burns when she poured boiling tea on herself. Many of you prayed our family through that trauma and look at her today! She has healed so well and is a beautiful and joyful little girl. We are so thankful!!

Ministry Milestones
There is much to celebrate in the ministry of our family this month and we give all the thanks and glory to GOD!
Ocean View Youth Ministry: This is a new area of our outreach and we have a growing love for our crazy youth! We meet on Friday nights for small group sessions in our home, and occasionally take them to Hillsong youth. We went this past Friday and they didn’t want to come home! They come from many broken and hurting homes, but our relationships with them are growing and we are seeing them open up to God and us. There is great potential in this ministry – stay tuned! Ubuntu Academy Boys: The boys are practicing weekly allowing the Ubuntu coaches a great deal of time to speak to them and mentor them. We are seeing small changes but there is progress! It is a weekly battle for the coaches and each boy has his own story and development. This past weekend we took four of the boys to Hillsong Church and two made a commitment for Christ! Be praying for these boys as they are being formed into great men of Africa. Many new opportunities! As ministry grows we are getting invited to speak and minister in new and exciting places. Earlier in the year, Sarah preached at Ocean View Methodist Church and then this month preached to the youth at Hillsong. It is extremely important to partner with the various ministries in our area and beyond and we continue to be amazed at the abundance of support!
