Vareira font Vareira is an adjective referring to matters related to Ovar.

Years ago I noticed the typography of an old café in Ovar, a small town in the north of Portugal. The abandoned house from circa 1940 had typography made of wrought iron. From a time that there were no typographical computerized processes, the project seemed pleasant to me. When the house began to crumble, local firefighters surrounded the house with strips and sentenced a due date for demolition. In a rush, I took pictures and I gave a little life to that typography. In a carefree way, I vectorize, completed the alphabet, introducing Portuguese accent. The house was demolished in February 2012.
