ALBATEX DBS
March 2009 / DA release / Nr….

OBJECTIVES

ALBATEX® DBS is our new complexing dispersing agent which is stable in a wider pH and
temperature range during dyeing process

New cost effective complexing and dispersing agent

Gain market share with best ratio price/performance product

It will replace existing ALBATEX® DS (4586603), DSI (4767763) and DST (2470775)
DESCRIPTION

ALBATEX® DBS is a complexing and dispersing agent proposed for cellulosic dyeing which:

 Prevents precipitations of calcium and magnesium salts under alkaline conditions

 Suitable with all dyes without any risk of light fastness impairment
 Good corrosion inhibitor
 Stable under HT conditions
 Excellent threshold effect
 Prevents dyes agglomeration
 Prevents fading effect caused by electrolytes during dyeing and finishing (PES and
PES/Blends)

DBS Cost effectiveness

Strategy is to replace existing sales of ALBATEX DS, DSI and DST in two years time. Reach total
sales of 2 Mio USD in five years time.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS

• High sequestering and dispersing • Trouble free process; It eliminates

properties calcium and magnesium precipitates or
deposits on equipment and fabrics

• No shade change • Safe conditions for entire process

• Assure better reproducibility in PES • Time saving, better quality

dyeing

• Corrosion inhibitors • Less damage and avoid problems

• High stability under HT conditions • Better reproducibility during exhaust

dyeing

• It prevents fading, mainly on • Less complaints and re-works
