The CV sample format/ CV sample template outlined below is one of the most commonly used CV formats/ templates. This typical CV sample format/ template can be used to create your own CV. Start your CV draft with as much information as possible, then edit & proofread. Using this free CV sample format/ template will give you a head start.

You will find many different sample formats of CVs, but we focus more on the presentation and content of the CV, than on the CV format/ template. Pay attention to the overall appearance of your CV & ensure there is adequate white background space.

YOUR NAME YOUR ADDRESS (can be a Post office box) Your phone number (s) (do not include your work number if you don't wish to be contacted at work) Your email address (use a personal email with a name that sounds professional)

SUMMARY A short summary highlighting and describing you, your skills and your strengths (up to 5 lines)
