"I appreciate that question because 1, in the state of Texas, had heard a lot of discussion about a faithbased initiative eroding the important bridge between church and state." -George W. Bush
.I

-.
John Ashcroft has repeatedly told his colleagues to ignore evidence that juvenile crime has actually dropped recently, instead delivering alarmist rants about kids as "murders, robbers, rapists and drug dealers."

HITLER QUOTE Parallel to the training of the body a struggle against the poisoning of the soul must begin. Our whole public life today is like a hothouse for sexual ideas and simulations. Just look at the bill of fare served up in our movies, vaudeville and theaters, and you will hardly be able to deny that this is not the right kind of food, particularly for the youth ... Theater, art, literature, cinema, press, posters, and window displays must be cleansed of all manifestations of our rotting world and placed in the service of a moral, political, and cultural idea.-Adolf Hitler sounding like the Moral Majority ( from Mein Kampf)

Who made the following statement? "Today's Christians ...stand at the head of [this country) ... 1 pledge that I will never tie myself to parties who want to destroy Christianity ...We want to fill our culture again with the Christian spirit...We want to burn out all the recent immoral developments in literature, in theater--in short, we want to burn out the poison of immorality which has entered into our whole life and culture as a resdult of "liberal excess" during the past few years." Was it: A. Pat Buchanan B. Dr. Laura C. George Bush D. Adolph Hitler Although this statement could have been made interchangeably the above people, it was made by Adoph Hitler in a 1930s speech.

The 1950s, under a Republican regime, represent one of the blackest marks on America's history. Thanks to Republican control, the Cold War, that hideous "monster" designed to terrify and polarize whole nations and send small children scrambling under their desks during "bomb drills," was created and vigorously promoted, dramatically destablizing the world This climate of fear and paranoia led directly to the nightmarish McCarthy period, where pro-labor people and liberals of all kinds were hunted down and persecuted as "Commies" and "Pinkos." How could things have gotten so out of hand? What very few Americans realize is that the post-World War II Republican Party was shaped by Nazi emigres--most of them war criminals on the lam, to the U.S. These agents of the Holocaust turned good Republicans and "pillars of the community" were the primary engineers of the Cold War. The reason: What was their motivation? While attention was turned to the "Evil Empire" of the Soviet Union, focus on tracking down and prosecuting Nazi war criminals was dramatically diminished. In fact, Simon Wiesenthal flatly stated in a May 9, 1984 press conference that "Nazi criminals were the principal beneficiaries of the Cold War." Among the Nazis who dominated thought in the post-WWII Republican Party were: Laszlo Pasztor a convicted Nazi war collaborator who was also a member of the Hungarian Ar~ow Cross, a group that was responsible for the murders of . thousands of Hungarian Jews. Guess what? Ladszlo became ~ot onlyan adviser to Republican Paul Weyrich, but who became one of the foundmg chairmen of the Republican Heritage Council. . . Reinhard Gehlen: Hitler's senior eastern front mteiligence officer. . Helped form the CIA and became the chief architect of the progaganda machine that produced and maintained the Cold War.. .. Rai Siavoff: Former Bulgarian facist who organized an event In Washington I D C honoring Austin App, an ultra-right-winter who pre~che? that the , I H~locaust never happened Savloff became an executive director of the GOP s .Heritaqe Florian convicted outreach Council. . h df dd Galdau: Former Romanian Iron Guard racruner wr 0 e en e Nazi war criminal Valerian Trifa. Gadau became director of GOP among Romanians in the U.S.

It should also be noted that many American corporations, including Standard Oil and IBM, worked in veritable collaboration with the Nazis in the 1930s, often selling new technologies to the Nazis FIRST, rather than to the U.S. During VWVII,the executives of such companies were "blacklisted" by the U.S. government-quite rightfully so. However, as soon as the GOP got into power, those corporate powers angered by being exposed by the FOR administration created their own retaliatory black list-with Joe McCarthy as the deadly instrument of their revenge. Go through a list of people blacklisted in the 1950s and you will find very few, if any Republicans. So did this Nazi-GOP connection end after the Cold War? Hardly. Some of the most rabidly enthusiastic supporters of the GOP are neo-Nazis. In September 1988, "Washington Jewish Week" disclosed that one coalition for Bush, Sr.'s election campaign included several outspoken Nazis and anti-Semites. Scarier yet, the present GOP is beginning to closely model .rs regime after the Nazi regime of the 1930s, using many of the same tactics-probably passed on to them in detail from Gehlen and others. Among these tactics: suppression of the free press, lumping all those not in the party together as a "morally decadadent, anti-God, ann-Government" group of undesirables, fanning the flames of "Christian fervor" (yes, Hitler considered himself a good Christian I), and condoning and promoting the increasing withdrawal of rights from "undesirable groups." In a recent, stunning move by the Supreme Court, which has become the black-robed strong arm of the GOP, swept away a huge block of rights from disabled persons-an attack on the disabled that shocked even many more moderate GOPers in Congress. But then-when Hitler came to power in the 1930s, guess which group was the first to lose substantial rights, then the first to be "liquidated"? You guess it-the disabled. Now blacks and other minorities are being targeted in an indirect and cowardly way through Bush's plan to promote every possible financial advantage for the wealthy while minimizing all advantages to those in lower income brackets-income brackets still dominated by minorities. Hitler too called for subtle tactics, in his early days, exerting economic "sanctions" against Jews and other "undesirables," while even forbidding his officials to engage in any anti-Semitic rhetoric. So, as G.W. Bush addresses his Republican Congress, I would conclude that it is time for America to be afraid-be very afraid.
