Practicum training for Information Technology students is offered during summer of third year. The courses taken prior to the practicum training enable the students to familiarize with the work situations they will be exposed to in their training and them with knowledge, skills and attitudes they can apply during the training proper. 1. Pres-requisites Practicum training is open to all third year standing students who have completed all their academic courses and non-academic requirements. Students who have finished their school requirements are more preferred by IT establishments since they view practicum students as a pool of talents from whom they can immediately hire future employees. Students who have still academic loads and/or back subjects will not be considered for the practicum training. 2. Practicum Courses The required practicum course(s) to be enrolled are as follows: OTJT – Supervised Work Experience in the IT Industry • It is a three-unit course, which is equivalent to 200 training hours.

Students must furnish evaluators with Performance Evaluation Report Forms. signed by the practicum coordinator of the linkage establishment will be evaluated. The certification will then be submitted to the practicum coordinator / adviser. It is highly confidential report. Certificate of Completion A certification from the linkage establishment regarding the number of work hours. (Appendix E). Narrative Report To measure the necessary competencies of the students during the practicum training. as well as the inclusive dates of the training completed by the students. which must be accomplished accurately to help the practicum coordinator / adviser evaluate properly the performance of the students. .
