Dear Faculty Members:

ALL final grading will take place online on my.fordham.edu. Paper grade rosters will no longer be distributed.

If you have students scheduled for graduation, please grade those students first and submit their grades online immediately. Please note commencement is on May 21, 2011. All grades are due 48 hours after administering the final exam (see section 3.1 of the faculty handbook).
The dates for grading are as follows: Spring 2011 Grading Periods Undergraduate Schools Fordham College Lincoln Center: May 10, 2011 May 21, 2011 Fordham College Liberal Studies (all campuses): May 10, 2011 May 21, 2011 Fordham College Rose Hill: May 10, 2011 May 21, 2011 Gabelli School of Business: May 10, 2011 May 21, 2011 Spring 2011 Grading Periods Graduate Schools Graduate School of Arts & Sciences: May 10, 2011 May 21, 2011 Graduate School of Business Administration: April 20, 2011 May 21, 2011 Graduate School of Education: May 10, 2011 May 21, 2011 Graduate School of Religion & Religious Education: May 10, 2011 May 21, 2011 Graduate School of Social Service: May 10, 2011 May 21, 2011 IMPORTANT: You can make changes to any grades you submit online until midnight of that day. Grades are rolled to academic history overnight, which allows students to view their grades on my.fordham.edu. Once grades are rolled to academic history, you will no longer be able to change grades online. Please note that you will receive an email if we do not receive your grades by the deadline, therefore, there is no need to confirm receipt of grades after submission. You will receive a confirmation message on the top of the roster page after submitting your grades (see Step 5). Each grading session lasts 30 minutes. Be sure to click the Submit button before you time-out, or you will lose the grades you have already entered. 1

If you need to make a change to a grade after it has been rolled to academic history, DURING THE ONLINE GRADING PERIOD OR BEFORE MAY 27, 2011, please e-mail your change to Anna Ponterosso, Senior Associate Director of Academic Records at ponterosso@fordham.edu. Please include the CRN, course number and section, the students name and FIDN, the reason for the change, and the accurate grade. For security purposes, only e-mails originating from YOUR FORDHAM E-MAIL ACCOUNT will be accepted. If you do not know your Fordham e-mail address, please contact the Help Desk at 718-817-3999. Any grade(s) that require a change after Friday, May 27, 2011 must be submitted on a Change of Grade Form available in home department or Deans Office.

Please note that grades not received by above deadlines will be reported to the Deans Offices. If you have any questions regarding grading, please do not hesitate to contact Anna Ponterosso at ponterosso@fordham.edu. Thank you in advance for your continued support and cooperation.

Instructions for my.fordham.edu Online Grading

1. On my.fordham.edu, go to your Faculty Tab. The courses that you are teaching will appear in the Faculty Grade Assignment channel. If you do not see your course listed, click on the Expand button to open the channel in a new window.

2. You can also access your courses by clicking on the Banner Self-Service menu on the Faculty Tab.

3. Click on the triangle icon to begin grading for a particular course.

4. On the Final Grade Roster, click the pull-down menu next to the student you are grading and select the appropriate grade. Only available grades will appear on the menu.
Note: You may see some grades with additional symbols, such as A-^ or **C+. These grades should be treated as traditional grades, i.e. A- or C+. For a list of grade explanations, visit the Enrollment Services website at

5. After you have completed grading your course, click the Submit button at the bottom of the page.

Once you have submitted your grades, you will receive a confirmation message at the top of the roster page.

6. Ignore the columns marked Last Attend Date* and Attend Hours.

*Undergraduate courses only: If you are grading a student WF a withdrawal failure because a student
never officially withdrew from the course and simply stopped attending you must enter the last date of attendance for that student in the corresponding Last Attend Date field.
